FDIU, page 499 — that's the Flight Data Interface Unit, which routes flight data. FD Manoeuvre Protection, page 346 — that's the envelope protection the flight director provides during manoeuvres. FDR, page 497 — that's the Flight Data Recorder, the crash-protected recorder that logs flight parameters. And the last entry is Fee — that's just the start of the next index term, cut off here. So that's the index. It's a map of the whole book. When you're studying, you use this to jump straight to a topic. When you're revising, you use it to check you've covered everything.
