LI is Low Intensity omnidirectional lights — low-intensity lights used for marking obstacles or runways. LIH is Light Intensity High, LIL is Light Intensity Low, LIM is Light Intensity Medium — these describe the brightness setting of approach lighting systems. LITAS is a specific system: Low Intensity Two Colour Approach Slope Indicators — a visual approach slope indicator using two colours, positioned at specified distances from the threshold, bracketing a defined approach angle.
