Then we move into Identification, which is how we classify an air mass based on its source region and the modifications it undergoes. After that, we look at the specific Air Masses Affecting the British Isles and NW Europe — these are the ones you'll deal with most directly in that part of the world. There's also a section on Other Areas, covering air masses that affect other regions.
Then we shift into Fronts, An Introduction — the boundary zones where different air masses meet. We cover three major frontal systems: The Polar Front, The Arctic Front, and The Mediterranean Front.
