Take-off Minima on pages 57 and 59 are the minimum weather conditions required for take-off, usually expressed in terms of visibility or runway visual range. TAWS on page 81 stands for Terrain Awareness and Warning System — the system that alerts you if your aircraft is in danger of hitting terrain. Finally, Technical Instructions on page 221, and the full title Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (ICAO document 9284) also on page 221, are the international standards for shipping hazardous materials by air.
